Press ReleaseEnvestnet | Tamarac™ Announces Sixth Annual User Conference
Parallel Practice Management Track Added to Two-Day Educational Program
Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV), a leading provider of technology-enabled wealth management solutions for investment advisors, today announced the completion of its acquisition of Tamarac Inc., a provider of sophisticated portfolio management technology that enables Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) to efficiently deliver customized individual account management to their clients. The combination of Envestnet's wealth management and advanced portfolio solutions with Tamarac's industry-leading software for rebalancing, practice management, performance reporting and CRM integration enables RIAs to efficiently deploy powerful, integrated wealth-management solutions and transform the way they serve their clients."We don't believe it's enough for our clients to simply know how to use our software. We want them to maximize their use of our Advisor Xi suite of tools to increase productivity, create automated workflows and design complex model portfolios," said Stuart DePina, Group President, Envestnet| Tamarac. "When it comes to software training, we believe that no other technology company comes close to the level of expertise and educational resources that Tamarac offers to advisors, which is just one of the reasons this should be our biggest conference ever."
"Our firm finds great value in attending Tamarac's annual conference," says Dave Walker, Director of Operations at YellowWood Financial Advisors, in Gaithersburg, Md. "As a client, we see new methods for leveraging technology to help us drive efficiencies. Additionally, as an advisor, there's great value in networking and sharing best practices with hundreds of well-managed firms. This year's addition of a practice management track should be of strong interest to many advisors, regardless of whether they are clients of Tamarac."
While earlier incarnations of the conference were strictly devoted to helping advisors make better use of the Tamarac suite of products, this year a new program track focusing on practice management topics is being offered to provide advisory firm principals with additional educational value. One of the highlights of the conference is an update briefing from a panel of the leading custodial firms including Fidelity Institutional Wealth Services, Schwab Advisor Services, TD Ameritrade Institutional and Pershing Advisor Solutions.
With sessions on both days of the conference, the practice management track addresses a wide range of concerns facing RIAs, such as succession planning and tax-managed indexing, and will draw on the intellectual capital found within the Envestnet family and other industry-leading firms.
Envestnet|PMC® will lead a session on emerging trends in portfolio construction, while one on finding great research will tap into the knowledge and experience of Envestnet|Prima. A panel on mergers and acquisitions will feature executives from HighTower, United Capital and other Independent Advisor Networks, who will offer insight into how they evaluate potential merger partners.
Davis Janowski, Technology Writer for Investment News, will keynote with a talk on the latest trends in technology and what the technological future holds in store for RIAs. Other program sessions will be devoted to helping advisors better understand and make use of the key enhancements made to Envestnet | Tamarac's product offerings over the last year, including advanced modeling functionality and upgrades to the cash management application. Of particular interest should be a panel discussion featuring a group of advisors who leverage Advisor View's client portal to engage their clients online and utilize this tool for paperless communications.
In order to maximize participation from the advisor community, Tamarac has waived the conference fee for the first person registered from any advisory firm before August 31.
